SunSaver was born in 2018 in beautiful Mangawhai by two mates who had both experienced the struggle of keeping their mobile devices charged while travelling abroad.

Typical power banks were of no use to them, because just like the rest of their portable devices, they would always be forgotten about and never charged.

So when they discovered a portable power solution that actually worked, they knew everyone else had to know about it.

The SunSaver team are travel enthusiasts who want to let their customers make the most out of their own adventures.

We do this by providing products that can harness the power of the sun to keep their mobile devices charged, letting them spend less time connected to a wall socket.

Being a small New Zealand start-up, we couldn’t afford to go through the very expensive and risky process of our own product development straight away. So to make it possible to start SunSaver, we decided to initially use existing product designs that had been proven in other markets, but were not available in NZ.

With a passion for quality, we invested a significant amount of time to find the very best manufacturer’s in China, so we can bring you great products without any hassle.

Now with a proven track record in the market, SunSaver is about to start undertaking their own product development, incorporating market feedback into the design process to provide products better fit with customer requirements.

With Professional Engineering experience and a passion for sustainable business, Callum brings to the team a pragmatic approach to problem solving combined with a strategic long-term vision.

A qualified Chef, Steven knows how to keep his cool under pressure while maintaining an eye to detail, which compliments his role of managing the day to day operations of the business.
