Have questions about our solar power banks & portable chargers, their lifespans and whether you can store them in warm areas? Please read the below for more insight into care and longevity of SunSaver products.
Are SunSaver solar power banks safe to take on planes?
Can I charge my SunSaver power bank's with a USB power supply?
Does the solar input of SunSaver power banks really work?
Yes. The solar panels are just over 1 watt and require approximately 50 hours of direct sunlight to fully recharge the power bank. However, just one day of good solar charging usually provides enough power to give a smartphone a decent charge
Isn’t exposing power banks to heat bad for them?
That’s why we recommend you monitor the temperature when solar charging SunSaver power banks and avoid exposing them to high temperature environments such as the dashboard of a vehicle.
How long do solar power banks last?
The life of a power bank also depends on the usual temperature it is stored at. Extreme heats will degrade the power bank’s battery and as solar power banks are likely to be exposed to heat more often than normal power banks, their lifespan may be shorter.
